The WCES Library provides great reading materials for students as well as helpful resources for teachers. The Accelerated Reader program offers opportunities for students to read and test on book content while providing reward incentives and recognition for students. The library will open at 7:30 A.M. daily for students to check-out books or take tests. Visit the library and READ.
Accelerated Reader (AR) is a reading program used by students grades 3-6 to boost reading ability. A student reads a book, and after completing it, takes a short quiz on the book. The student receives instant feedback on their quiz score, and the teacher and librarian are able to view quiz results and track reading process. West Carroll Schools all have on-line access to Renaissance Place, which gives students the ability to take a quiz on ANY book which has an AR quiz.
